Welcome to the Reiteralm in Saalbach
Location
The Reiteralm lies on the sunny side of the Glemmtal valley, right in the middle of the Saalbach Hinterglemm ski, bike, and hiking area – directly on the Sunliner slope in winter and on the bike & hiking trails in summer.
IMPORTANT: During summer 2026, the Reiterkogelbahn will be closed due to reconstruction work. You can still reach us via a pleasant hike or bike tour from the valley, either along the Hasenbach Trail (a livestock-free hiking route) or the Pfeffer Trail. For those looking for a longer adventure, scenic hikes via the Hochalm or the Amsel also lead up to us.

Sundowner with Friends
Our kitchen is now also open in the evening by reservation, serving an à la carte menu.
Grill & Chill
For groups of four or more, we’ll fire up the grill at Reiteralm for a relaxed evening in the mountains.
After prior reservation, look forward to delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a laid-back sundowner with beautiful views at Reiteralm.

Sun terrace
Large tables, cozy lounge corners with cushions and sun loungers invite you to relax. Add to that chill vibes, great drinks, and plenty of vitamin D.
Herb garden
Tanja’s herbal knowledge and love of flowers make the Reiteralm bloom in summer – a haven for nature lovers and pleasure seekers.
Forest wellness trail
Directly behind the hut, it is worth taking a detour to the the forest wellness trail. You can make yourself comfortable in hammocks or on the picnic platforms.
Food and drinks
From cheesy “Kasnock’n” to herbal smoothies: the kitchen is regional, creative, and homemade. Head chef Marek serves up alpine classics and international dishes with love – complemented by Tanja’s herbal creations and in-house refreshments. Sweets such as cakes, “Kaiserschmarrn”, strudels, ice cream specials or the popular “Schomlauer Nockerl” come from our own bakery.
Foodies can enjoy the summer “Grill & Chill” evenings or cozy hut dinners with roast duck and spareribs in winter – available on request.
Picnic
Not just for romantics: lovingly packed baskets, plus a blanket and cushions – ready for a relaxed break around the Reiteralm. Whether on marked spots or your own favorite place: enjoy wherever it’s most beautiful.
Inside the basket: regional treats – spreads, salads, fruit, hearty and sweet bites – along with coffee, water, wine or sparkling wine. Panorama and romance included.
